In a car-accident Marsala becomes a host when tragically overtaken by spirits, initiating at a car accident.  

Her childhood sexual abuse would have taught her to submit automatically to forces outside her control unable to reject them upon gaining consciousness.  

She expresses her suffering because of them towards the end. 

Ed the strongest male rules the troupe hiarchy and has sex with her people-pleasing type, bi-sexual husband.  The host again is sent to the back-ground as in all these examples.  Media glorify's this persons situation as the couple pander to the five spirits who took over, so the spirits can have more life on earth and avoid their after-life, dimensional shift.  This is not reincarnation this is taking-over the true souls right to experience life fully here on earth. 

This is a case where spirits bring Justice but the original soul has almost all but disappeared. 

While this is a great case for destigmatizing DID as a disorder, it also shows how bold, determined and powerful the spirits can be for their agenda.  With respect, it appears she is eating for many also.  Unfortunately justice can fail as the one sent to prision is often just another heavily possessed person by a spirit acting out it's sickening agenda.
